It Ain't Mr. Roger's Neighborhood

Ah yes, we all have that neighbor.

When we do Christmas with my side of the family, it's become an annual tradition to walk down and see the Santa Babes (aka the Ho-Ho-Hos). Some of us go thinking it was all a dream last year, and the year before, and before that...and couldn't have been real. Others went because we had a new person who had never seen the house and wanted to see his reaction. I went because where else can you see Santa being pulled by eight flamingos?

(Yes, flamingos, you read it right)

What do you think for next year's Christmas card?

Jody, I can't see the pictures! I'm dying to see them...flamingos, ha ha! I'll try back later.

Jody...I totally know what you are talking about...we stop by every year too when we visit my parents. That house is hilarious...

Now Holly- you grew up in that neighborhood - surely you spent enough time in California to be used to the idea of flamingo's pulling Santa's sleigh..... I know you couldn't have possibly even given the Santa Babes a second thought! We love our neighbors though! They truly do bring lots of smiles to my family every year.

Well, if I grew up in that neighborhood, then my parents must have avoided driving down that street in December!

We actually were in the neighborhood to go to Disneyland early in December (got off the 57 on Ball Rd. and took it to Harbor) and I briefly considered driving my family down "Candy Cane Lane."
