Slumber Party

I don't think there was a better way to start the Fourth of July holiday than with a sleep-over. Eden spent the night with Morgan and Kendall. Morgan said her favorite part was when they were dancing. My favorite part was listening to Morgan and Eden (Kendall conked out too early) giggle into the wee hours of the night. Aah, brings back so many memories...

Rizzella & Kristy

Quite the morning we've had! This is a picture of Rizzella and Kristy, who are cousins. Rizzella's mom is named Terissa (that's me) and Kristy's mom's name is Laura, someone I have yet to meet in person but have spent a lot of time on the phone with. This morning the cousins have changed their names from Morgan & Kendall to Maria & Malana and now to Kristy & Rizzella. They have been to battle with "the bad guys", locked in a closet, saved by "the boys" that do karate, changed outfits numerous times, and I know Rizzella has died twice because she has been to the doctor (that's me too) to be healed.

A Shower For All!

Grandma Dolly and Friends threw such a fun shower! The ladies, kids and grand kids were all invited and all the activities were centered around the kids! I know Morgan and Kendall had a really good time. With everything from face painting to stroller races, how could you go wrong?

Kendall loved the face painting and even got a butterfly on her leg and a spider on her foot!

Eden coached a blindfolded Beth to victory in the "Dress Your Baby" game.

Anela claimed the record for 100% of her bean bags made through the target!

The judges.

The kids even took turns opening gifts. And a lot of gifts there were! Thank you to everybody!

Father & Sons?

After nine years of Scott going to the annual Father and Sons camp out by himself, he finally was able to have a partner. Although, I have to say...there were two new "sons" who are the prettiest sons I have ever seen.

Eden had to go so she could join the family's fishing trip in the morning and Morgan had to go to keep Eden company!

"Shhhhh...I'm trying to fit in."

Eldorado Park

Morgan's preschool class went to Eldorado Park as a field trip. Morgan and Eden walked the entire TWO MILE nature walk and never complained, although I was very happy to have the stroller for Kendall. We saw lots of animals, mostly turtles and ducks in the ponds, and a few squirrels and wild rabbits. Morgan was disappointed not to see any coyotes.

Morgan, Kendall, Ms. Jeanette and if you look way ahead you can see Eden leading the way.

Morgan by the lake where she had to let me know there wouldn't be any sharks.

Kendall's picture with the crane or egret or herring. Non of us moms knew. Anyone?

Skate-O-Rama

We went to Megan's 11th birthday party at the skating rink...talk about a blast to the past! Scott and I had fun reminiscing of our own skating rink days, ah the memories. And in case you are wondering, nothing has changed. If the smell alone doesn't take you back then the kids who think they are sooooo cool will, and the old man who literally skates circles around everyone and skates backwards the entire time weaving in and out of people is still there!

Morgan and Kendall had a blast! I have to hand it to Scott, Aunt Kimmy and Aunt Kristy. They are the troopers who took them around and around saving them from falling too many times and giving them a great time instead of a night full of falls and bruises. By the end Morgan was pretty good in the rink, if she stayed close to the wall, and Kendall was able to go by herself around the benches on the carpet. They were so tired at the end of the night that I think Kendall summed it up best when she said, "Mom, I like to skate but I think I'm done."

Here I go!

Ever since Beth has started raving about how fun blogging is I have had it in the back of my mind to join her. Always with an excuse of why not start today. Well, after Tracy's announcement that she has started a blog (which is so cute I might add) I have decided to jump on the band wagon. Plus I cannot come up with an excuse right now since my house is clean, thanks to Maria, and I have temporarily fulfilled my nesting urges today by moving the furniture around and rearranging the dish cupboard. Well, I could do laundry but me having to start my blog is a great excuse to get out of that! (right Cherri?)

Anyway, this is today, 4/20/07, and these are my girls -- Morgan 4 1/2 and Kendall will be 3 in five days. We finally got some rain and Morgan, who absolutely loves to ride her bike, wouldn't let a little rain stop her. In fact, she was begging to have this new experiece. Plus they had some fun testing out their rain gear, splashing in whatever puddles they could find.

And this is me today (you would think one would put on some make-up before documenting herself on the world wide web). I am 34 weeks and 5 days, due May 28th. Scott and I are very happy to say it's a boy! Scott is thrilled, especially since he was caught quoting Sleeping Beauty the other day. Our little family ain't gonna be so little anymore...and we couldn't be more excited!
